Nuts are rich in proteins, minerals, healthy fats, vitamins, and protective phytochemical compounds. <strong>As a consequence, they have a high nutritional content and their consumption is very beneficial to health.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BENEFITS FOR HEALTH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of studies, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMoa1307352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>the one conducted at Harvard in 2013<\/strong><\/a>, have corroborated that high consumption of nuts correlates with <strong>reduced mortality<\/strong> and a lower risk of suffering some cancer types, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases or diabetes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, nuts are very filling; thus, although they are high-calorie foodstuffs,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/predimed-es.weebly.com\/uploads\/8\/0\/5\/1\/8051451\/nejmoa1800389_olf.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>their consumption is not correlated to weight increase.<\/strong><\/a> Now, the <a href=\"https:\/\/canalsalut.gencat.cat\/ca\/vida-saludable\/alimentacio\/petits-canvis-menjar-millor\/mes\/fruita-seca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Health Channel of the Generalitat de Catalunya<\/strong><\/a> emphasises<strong> the importance of eating unsalted, unsweetened nuts. <\/strong>Moreover, they note that the healthiest nuts are those eaten <strong>raw or lightly toasted<\/strong>. Add nuts to your breakfast:<\/strong> mixed with yoghurt and fruit in a bowl, for example.<br><strong>2.<\/strong> <strong>Add them to salads<\/strong>: hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, peanuts, pistachios, etc. Let your imagination fly!<br><strong>3. Use them for snacking between meals:<\/strong> As an afternoon snack or mid-morning snack.<br><strong>4. Include them in more or less elaborated recipes: <\/strong>broccoli and almonds, lentil pat\u00ea and walnuts, romesco sauce, pesto, etc.<br><strong>5.
